With their head office in Shepparton and offices also in Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and Perth, Challenger Valves & Actuators are busier than ever.
Challenger Valves & Actuators are now seeking a reliable and skilled Welder & Fabricator to join their team in Shepparton.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, working across fabrication, welding, light machining and general warehouse support.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Welding and fabrication of components to specification
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Assisting with basic machining tasks
Supporting assembly and modification of valve and actuator equipment
General warehouse duties
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
Assisting with operational tasks as needed
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Proven experience in welding and fabrication (MIG/TIG preferred)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Machining experience (highly regarded but not essential)
A strong work ethic and willingness to be flexible across tasks
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
A team-first attitude with the ability to work independently when required
Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
