Wangaratta Saw & Lawnmower are looking for a full time qualified Small Engine Mechanic to join their growing team.

Wangaratta Saw & Lawnmower are the North East's premium chainsaw and lawnmower specialists, offering a wide variety of lawn care equipment.  Wangaratta Saw & Lawnmower are a small family run business who pride themselves on quality customer service and going above and beyond for their clients and customers.

The Small Engine Mechanic role will suit a motivated person with strong problem-solving skills, excellent diagnostic abilities, and the capacity to build long-term relationships with team members and customers.

What will you be doing?

Working with a variety of small engine equipment, including lawnmowers (domestic and commercial), chainsaws, edgers, pumps and chippers, you will be:

  • Diagnosing and repairing small engines

  • Undertaking routine maintenance and servicing

  • Maintaining detailed records of repairs and services performed

  • Providing excellent customer service and advice to customers

  • Maintaining workshop cleanliness

We are looking for candidates who:

  • have formal qualification/s in small engine repair or mechanics (preferred)

  • have significant experience in small engine repair or mechanics

  • have the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues

  • are enthusiastic and highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • have good communication and customer service skills

  • Stihl and/or John Deere service experience would be highly beneficial

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic and team working skills who wants to make a valuable contribution to Wangaratta Saw & Lawnmower.
