Baxters Foods is a family-owned iconic food business established in 1868, producing a diverse range of food products worldwide. In Australia, our Campbellfield site specialises in manufacturing premium food products.
We are seeking a Generalist HR Business Partner to join our team, reporting directly to the Managing Director of Baxters Foods Australia, with a touchpoint back to their HQ in Scotland.
This part-time role offers family-friendly hours and provides the opportunity to influence the HR function across all business levels. You will be instrumental in both hands-on HR generalist processes, as well as contributing to the senior leadership team to help shape our growing business.
This role is responsible for a full range of Generalist HR activities including:
Managing daily transactional HR administration and processes using modern HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring HR data, policies and procedures are maintained within the system.
Providing coaching and support to managers, partnering with them to drive and embed standards for people & performance, fostering teamwork and accountability
Providing recruitment, onboarding and development systems to ensure a ready, agile and capable workforce.
Driving strategies to continuously strengthen workplace communication, culture & diversity, engagement, recognition, celebrations and alignment with company values.
Supporting performance management and IR processes including consultation, change management, EBA negotiations and compliance with access to external professional support when needed.
About you:
We’re seeking a well organised HR professional with a relational approach, who delivers on actions and has a positive visible presence on site. Additionally, our ideal candidate has:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent, AHRI membership is favourable as is experience in a similar industry.
Demonstrated experience in a Generalist HR, Leadership or Business Partner role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to confidently communicate and build relationships across a multi-cultural and multilingual workforce.
Resilience and emotional intelligence to effectively manage relationships, maintain personal wellbeing, and be a professional role model for others.
A proactive team player with a can-do, solution focussed mindset, who can bring ideas into action.
