Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fitter & Turner / Fabricator to join our skilled and friendly workshop team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position involving machining, fabrication, welding and general workshop duties.  You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality outcomes in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel and mild steel

  • Machining using lathe, milling machine and radial arm drill

  • Fabrication and general fitting and turning duties

  • Reading and interpreting drawings and job specifications

  • Maintaining workshop cleanliness and organisation

  • Managing stock control within the workshop

  • Completing work accurately, efficiently and within required timeframes

Skills & Experience

  • Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner, Boilermaker, Fabricator or similar

  • Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding (stainless and mild steel)

  • Strong machining capabilities

  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised

  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude

  • Strong focus on safety, quality and workshop cleanliness

  • Basic computer skills (sending emails, basic job documentation)

  • Forklift licence (highly beneficial)
